Tiffin University’s Institute of Creative & Media Arts will host the 26th Annual Songwriting and Music Production Workshop from July 12 through July 17, 2025. The camp is open to all high school and college students, as well as amateur and professional musicians and educators.

The camp is a total creative experience in music writing, performing and recording pop, jazz, R&B, a cappella, hip-hop and other commercial styles. Campers perform in rock, pop, hip hop and indie bands and vocal groups, receive private instruction and solo coaching, participate in workshops on songwriting, beatboxing, live looping, studio recording and production, arranging, live sound engineering and other topics key to success on stage and in the studio.

Campers will collaboratively work with professional artists-in-residence to create and record original music together. They will also engage in co-writing activities with fellow campers and pro songwriters and will work with a professional producer in the recording and mixing of their songs.

All attendees will collaborate with and receive personalized instruction from professional artists-in-residence. The 2025 artists-in-residence will be the Atlanta-based producer and recording artist PRISCA and singer-songwriter Regina Sayles, a Tiffin native now based in Pennsylvania. Students will work with this pair and additional instructors to write and record original music in a studio setting. These efforts will culminate on the camp’s final night in the form of a performance that is free and open to the public.

“Participants will get to work with our outstanding TU commercial music faculty including professional songwriters and producers who have years of industry success as well as visiting artists who are out there working in a variety of sectors and types of music creation situations,” said Brad Rees, Executive Director of the Institute of Creative & Media Arts. “It is unique in that it gives participants from all backgrounds and experience levels a chance to explore developing their music-making skills in a supportive, accepting and collaborative environment. This year we are also extremely excited to offer the Songwriting and Music Production Workshop for college credit, available to both high school and college students.”

On-campus housing and meals are provided for an all-inclusive fee of $675. There is a $100 deposit due at the time of registration. Space is limited to 50 campers, so interested students are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Campers will be in single, air-conditioned dorm rooms. Meals will be served in the Cole Dining Hall. Campers are also encouraged to bring any musical instruments they would like to use in their songwriting and production activities.

Academic credit will also be available for an additional tuition charge. If you are interested in receiving information regarding academic credit for an additional tuition cost, please note that on your registration form or contact arts@tiffin.edu.
