Fall Move-In & RISE Week 2026

Get Ready for RISe Week!

Move-In and RISE Week is a event filled week of exciting activities for new and returning students to help kick-off the year. RISE Week is focusing on readiness, information, support and engagement. For new first-year and transfer students, the weekend serves as an introduction to virtually everything TU has to offer and the adjustment to college expectations. For returning students, it is an opportunity to readjust and reacquaint before the start of another semester. RISE Week provides all students a chance to connect with faculty, staff and other students so they can begin the academic year with their best foot forward!

These instructions are only applicable to first-year students.

  • You’ll have 20 minutes to unload your car, with TU faculty and staff ready to lend a hand.
  • One person needs to stay in the car at all times while things are being moved out of the car.
  • Items will be placed on the sidewalk right away so the line can keep moving.
  • Vehicles must be fully unloaded before anything is moved into the building.
  • Once empty, please move your vehicle to designated parking and take the TU shuttle back to campus.
    • Overflow parking will be at old Big Lots in Tiffin 644 W. Market St.
    • Campus Drop-Off/Pick-Up will be in front of the Murphy at the side street parking area. This will only be in place until the road closure begins at 2:00 p.m.
    • After Miami Street reopens at 3:00 p.m., the shuttles will no longer stop at the Murphy. They will instead drop off and pick up in front of the Heminger Center until 4:30 p.m.
    • Note: Shuttle service only runs until 4:30, so be sure to pick up your vehicle before service concludes.
  • Time slots matter: Please arrive at your assigned time. Early arrivals will be asked to wait until their slot, and late arrivals will need to wait until the end of the move-in period.

Following these steps helps keep traffic flowing and ensures a smooth, stress-free start for everyone. After unloading, you’ll have plenty of time to settle in before brunch/lunch or our first required event.
